About Us

We are three college students and we write about sailors.

Not the kind you see in textbooks or movies, but the kind we all become at some point in our lives.

“Sailor” is a euphemism — a way of talking about people navigating the sea of uncertainty, pressure, growth, loss, and change. The ocean we trek on represents the emotional and mental challenges we move through. This includes stress, anxiety, isolation, hope, resilience, and healing. Everything a sailor would go through alone without civilization in sight.

We chose this metaphor because life rarely comes with a map. Much like sailors, we learn as we go. Some days the water is calm. Other days it isn’t. And sometimes, staying afloat is an accomplishment on its own.

Some posts are poetic. Some are quiet. Some are heavier than others. But all of them are written with intention — to offer understanding, connection, and the reminder that no one navigates alone. Yes, even a solo sailor has a world beneath their boat and above.

We don’t claim to have answers. We aren’t experts. So, this isn’t to be used as a therapy replacement. We simply want to talk about, well, life. As college students, we are adulting. We are entering into a sea of big fish. And we hope to help others like us, so we may become a squadron together and find out footing on solid ground.

We offer honesty, metaphor, and empathy.
